⚙ Step-by-Step Installation Guide

TITAN AutoTrader Setup

From download to your first live trade in under 10 minutes. Covers both MT5 and MT4 — follow the section for your platform.

✓ Takes under 10 minutes  ·  MT5 & MT4 supported
1

Download & Install MetaTrader 5

MT5 is free. Download directly from your broker's website or from MetaQuotes. Recommended brokers for TITAN: IC Markets, Pepperstone, FP Markets, Exness — all support hedging mode and Expert Advisors.

After installing, open MT5 and create a demo account first to test before going live. Takes 2 minutes. No deposit required.

Note: This section covers MT5 setup. If you purchased the MT4 version, scroll down to the MT4 Setup section below. Ensure your broker allows Expert Advisors (EAs). FTMO and FundedNext permit both MT5 and MT4 EAs.
2

Install Your TITAN EA Files

After purchase you receive a .zip file with your ready-to-run TITAN .ex5 files — one per pair (5 files for Regular, 5 for PROP version). No compiling needed.

Step 2a: In MT5, click File → Open Data Folder

Step 2b: Navigate to the Experts folder and paste your files:

MQL5 → Experts → [paste your .ex5 files here]

Step 2c: In the Navigator panel, right-click Expert Advisors → Refresh. Your TITAN EAs now appear in the list.

Tip: Keep all 5 TITAN files in the same Experts folder. Each file is pair-specific — do not attach the wrong EA to the wrong chart.
3

Open the 5 Required H1 Charts

TITAN runs on exactly these 5 pairs on the H1 (1-hour) timeframe. Open one chart per pair in MT5:

USDCHF H1 Chart
GBPUSD H1 Chart
AUDUSD H1 Chart
AUDCHF H1 Chart
CADCHF H1 Chart
Important: TITAN is validated only on these 5 pairs on H1. Running on other pairs or timeframes is untested and unsupported. EURUSD, all JPY pairs, and NZDUSD are permanently excluded.
4

Attach TITAN to Each Chart

For each chart, drag the matching TITAN EA from the Navigator panel onto the chart (or double-click while that chart is active). A settings dialog appears.

In the Common tab: tick "Allow Algo Trading"

In the Inputs tab: configure your risk settings (see Step 5), then click OK.

Check: A smiley face icon in the top-right corner of each chart = EA is active. Frowning face = disabled. Check that AutoTrading is enabled at the platform level (Step 6).
5

Configure Your Risk Inputs

Only adjust the inputs listed below. All others are pre-optimised from the 17-month backtest and should not be changed.

InputRecommendedDescription
RiskPercent0.5% – 1%Risk per trade as % of balance. Start at 0.5% on live. PROP: always 0.5%.
ATR_SL_Mult1.5ATR multiplier for stop loss. Pre-optimised — do not change.
PartialClosePct50Closes 50% of position at 2R profit. Reduces drawdown significantly.
LockTriggerR2.0Moves stop to breakeven once trade reaches 2R profit.
MonsterTrailATR3.5Trail multiplier for 6R+ winning trades. Leave default.
ER_MinValue0.20Efficiency Ratio filter — blocks choppy/ranging markets. Do not lower.
ADX_MinValue25.0Minimum ADX trend strength required to enter. Do not lower.
MaxSpreadPoints20 – 30Maximum spread in points allowed for entry. Protects against spread spikes.
NewsFilterMinutes30Pauses trading 30 min before/after high-impact news events. Essential for PROP.
PROP traders: Use RiskPercent = 0.5% and NewsFilterMinutes = 60. See the full Prop Firm Guide for firm-specific settings.
6

Enable AutoTrading in MT5

The most commonly missed step. AutoTrading must be enabled at the platform level, not just per-EA.

In the MT5 toolbar: click the "AutoTrading" button. When active it turns green and shows "AutoTrading" text. Also confirm:

Tools → Options → Expert Advisors → tick "Allow automated trading"
Confirm: All 5 charts show the smiley face icon. Check the Journal tab (bottom panel) for TITAN initialization messages from each EA.
7

Monitor & Verify

Check the Journal tab in MT5's bottom panel. You should see initialization messages:

TITAN v1.41 initialized | USDCHF H1 | Magic: 50200 | Risk: 0.50%
TITAN v1.41 initialized | GBPUSD H1 | Magic: 50201 | Risk: 0.50%
TITAN v1.41 initialized | AUDUSD H1 | Magic: 50202 | Risk: 0.50%
TITAN v1.41 initialized | AUDCHF H1 | Magic: 50203 | Risk: 0.50%
TITAN v1.41 initialized | CADCHF H1 | Magic: 50204 | Risk: 0.50%

TITAN only trades when all filters align. On slow/choppy markets it will not trade — this is correct behaviour. Average 8–10 trades per pair per month based on 17-month backtest data.

VPS recommended: For 24/5 uptime without leaving your PC on, use a Windows VPS (ForexVPS, BeeksFX, or Contabo at ~$20–30/month). Upload your full MT5 setup to the VPS.

✓ You're Live

TITAN is running on all 5 pairs. Expect your first trade within 1–5 trading days depending on market conditions. Check the Journal tab daily to confirm all 5 EAs are active.

⚙ MetaTrader 4 Setup

TITAN on MT4 — Step-by-Step

MT4 buyers receive .ex4 compiled files — one per pair. The setup process is nearly identical to MT5 with a few key differences noted below.

1

Download & Install MetaTrader 4

MT4 is free. Download directly from your broker's website — search "[broker name] MetaTrader 4 download". Recommended brokers for TITAN MT4: IC Markets, Pepperstone, FP Markets, Exness — all offer MT4 with low spreads and EA support.

After installing, create a demo account first to verify the EA runs correctly before going live. Takes 2 minutes — no deposit required.

MT4 vs MT5: MT4 uses .ex4 files (not .mq5). The Experts folder path is different. Everything else — pairs, timeframe, inputs — is identical.
2

Install Your TITAN .ex4 Files

After purchase you receive a .zip file with your TITAN .ex4 files — one per pair (5 files for Regular, 5 for PROP version). These are compiled binaries — do not try to open them as text files.

Step 2a: In MT4, click File → Open Data Folder

Step 2b: Navigate to the MQL4 Experts folder and paste your .ex4 files:

MQL4 → Experts → [paste your .ex4 files here]

Step 2c: In the Navigator panel (Ctrl+N to open), right-click Expert Advisors → Refresh. Your TITAN EAs appear in the list.

Key difference from MT5: MT4 uses MQL4\Experts\ not MQL5\Experts\. Make sure you are in the correct folder.
3

Open the 5 Required H1 Charts

Same 5 pairs as the MT5 version, same H1 timeframe. In MT4: File → New Chart or use the Market Watch panel (Ctrl+M), right-click the pair → Chart Window, then switch timeframe to H1.

USDCHF H1 Chart
GBPUSD H1 Chart
AUDUSD H1 Chart
AUDCHF H1 Chart
CADCHF H1 Chart
Important: TITAN MT4 is validated on these 5 pairs only, on H1. Running on other pairs or timeframes is unsupported. Each EA file is pair-specific — attach the USDCHF EA to the USDCHF chart only.
4

Attach TITAN to Each Chart & Enter Your License Key

Drag the matching TITAN EA from the Navigator panel onto the corresponding chart (or double-click while that chart is active). The EA properties dialog opens.

In the Common tab: tick "Allow live trading" (MT4 wording — same as MT5's "Allow Algo Trading")

In the Inputs tab: enter your LicenseKey first (format: QE-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX from your purchase email), then configure risk settings. Click OK.

License Key required: TITAN MT4 will not run without a valid license key. Enter the key exactly as received — including dashes. The key locks to your MT4 account number on first use and cannot be transferred. If you have not received your key, check your purchase confirmation email or contact support via Telegram.
Check: A smiley face in the top-right of each chart = EA active. Frowning face = disabled (check AutoTrading is on — Step 6). The Journal tab shows license validation: "License active" or an error message if the key is invalid.
5

Configure Your Risk Inputs

Same inputs as the MT5 version. Only adjust the parameters below — all others are pre-optimised from the 17-month backtest.

InputRecommendedDescription
LicenseKeyQE-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXYour unique license key from purchase email. Required — EA will not trade without it.
RiskPercent0.5% – 1%Risk per trade as % of balance. Start at 0.5% on live. PROP: always 0.5%.
ATR_SL_Mult1.5ATR multiplier for stop loss. Pre-optimised — do not change.
PartialClosePct50Closes 50% of position at 2R profit. Reduces drawdown significantly.
LockTriggerR2.0Moves stop to breakeven once trade reaches 2R profit.
ADX_MinValue25.0Minimum ADX trend strength required to enter. Do not lower.
MaxSpreadPoints20 – 30Maximum spread in points. Protects against spread spikes on MT4 brokers.
NewsFilterMinutes30Pauses trading 30 min before/after high-impact news. Essential for PROP accounts.
PROP traders: Use RiskPercent = 0.5% and NewsFilterMinutes = 60. See the full Prop Firm Guide for firm-specific settings.
6

Enable AutoTrading in MT4

AutoTrading must be enabled at the platform level. In the MT4 toolbar, click the "AutoTrading" button — it turns green when active. Also confirm:

Tools → Options → Expert Advisors → tick "Allow automated trading"

If the button is grey or shows "AutoTrading disabled", EAs will not trade even if attached correctly. This is the most commonly missed step.

Also required: If your broker requires it, check "Allow DLL imports" and "Allow WebRequest for listed URLs" in the same Expert Advisors options panel. TITAN uses WebRequest for license validation — add https://getquantumedgeai.com to the allowed URLs list.
7

Monitor & Verify

In MT4, check the Experts tab (bottom panel — not "Journal", that tab is "Experts" in MT4). You should see initialization messages:

TITAN MT4 v1.41 initialized | USDCHF H1 | Magic: 50301 | Risk: 0.50% | License: active
TITAN MT4 v1.41 initialized | GBPUSD H1 | Magic: 50302 | Risk: 0.50% | License: active
TITAN MT4 v1.41 initialized | AUDUSD H1 | Magic: 50303 | Risk: 0.50% | License: active
TITAN MT4 v1.41 initialized | AUDCHF H1 | Magic: 50304 | Risk: 0.50% | License: active
TITAN MT4 v1.41 initialized | CADCHF H1 | Magic: 50305 | Risk: 0.50% | License: active

PROP version Magic numbers: 50311–50315 (same pairs). If you see "License: invalid" — double-check the key was entered exactly as received, including all dashes.

VPS recommended: Same advice as MT5 — ForexVPS, BeeksFX, or Contabo (~$20–30/month). MT4 is lighter than MT5 and runs well on a 2GB VPS if needed.

✓ MT4 Running

All 5 TITAN MT4 EAs are live. Expect your first trade within 1–5 trading days. Check the Experts tab daily to confirm all 5 EAs show "License: active".

🏆 Prop Firm Configuration

Running TITAN on Prop Firms

TITAN Pro is engineered for prop firm challenges. Below are exact settings per firm — copy them precisely. Do not change any value not listed here.

FTMO
FTMO Challenge & Verification
Primary Target

The FTMO 2-Step Challenge runs a 10% max loss (static, from initial balance) and 5% max daily loss — recalculated at midnight CE(S)T and measured on equity, so floating losses count. Profit target: 10% Phase 1, 5% Phase 2. TITAN's 4% daily hard stop keeps a 1% buffer below the daily limit.

Input ParameterFTMO SettingWhy
RiskPercent0.5%At 0.5% risk, worst 5-loss streak = ~2.5% DD. Well inside FTMO's 5% daily limit.
MaxDailyLossPct3.5Conservative internal cap — EA stops trading before FTMO's 5% wall.
MaxOverallDDPct6.0Hard stop at 6% preserves 4% buffer inside FTMO's 10% overall limit.
NewsFilterMinutes60Block entries 60 min around FOMC/NFP. FTMO penalises news-event losses.
UseKillZonetrueLondon + NY open only. Avoids illiquid overnight sessions.
MaxSpreadPoints20FTMO brokers have tight spreads. 20 pts rejects anomalous widening.
UseFridayClosetrueFridayCloseHour = 16. No weekend exposure during challenge.
MaxConsecLosses3Tighten to 3 on challenge (default 5). Prevents revenge-trading sequences.
FTMO tip: Run all 5 TITAN PROP EAs simultaneously. Portfolio DD is typically 1.39% — far lower than running single-pair. Diversification is your best DD protection.
FundedNext
FundedNext Stellar 2-Step
Primary Target

FundedNext Stellar 2-Step uses static drawdown: 5% daily and 10% max, both fixed against your initial balance — not trailing. The daily limit resets at 00:00 server time (GMT+2/+3) and is measured on equity, so floating losses count. (The old trailing-drawdown Evaluation/Express models were discontinued in March 2025.)

EA conditions: FundedNext allows EAs on MT4/MT5, but your EA settings must be customised and unique — duplicated strategies across multiple clients can be flagged. Adjust your TITAN inputs (risk, buffers) to your own plan rather than running untouched defaults.
Input ParameterFundedNext SettingWhy
RiskPercent0.5%Conservative. Daily limit is equity-measured — floating losses count against it.
MaxDailyLossPct4.0Stellar daily limit is 5% (static). EA self-stops at 4% to protect the account.
MaxOverallDDPct7.0Hard internal stop at 7% — 3% inside Stellar's 10% static max loss.
PartialClosePct50Close 50% at 2R. Banking profit early keeps equity clear of both static limits.
NewsFilterMinutes60Same as FTMO — 60 min blackout around major events.
MaxConsecLosses3Stop at 3 consecutive losses during challenge phases.
FundedNext monitoring: Both limits are static against initial balance — on a $10,000 Stellar 2-Step account your max-loss floor stays at $9,000 and your daily floor is 5% below each day's 00:00 server-time starting point. Check your dashboard daily; TITAN will not trade if MaxOverallDDPct is hit, but this is your manual safety check. Note: only Stellar Instant accounts use a 6% trailing max drawdown (with no daily limit) — these settings are for the standard Stellar 2-Step.
E8 Markets
E8 Classic 2-Step
Secondary Target

E8 Markets lets you configure your drawdown at purchase: daily 3–7% and max 6–14% on E8 Classic (2-step). Choose the 5% daily / 10% max configuration when buying your E8 evaluation — the settings below assume it. EAs are allowed without pre-approval; HFT is banned. MT5 is available for non-US clients with raw spreads + $5/lot commission, and all 5 TITAN pairs are tradeable.

Input ParameterE8 SettingWhy
RiskPercent1.0Same as FTMO. Safe under a 5%/10% E8 configuration with TITAN's hard stops.
MaxDailyLossPct4.0EA self-stops at 4% — 1% buffer under the 5% daily configuration.
MaxOverallDDPct8.0Hard stop at 8% — 2% buffer inside the 10% max configuration.
NewsFilterMinutes60E8 restricts trading around major news (~2-min window). 60 min clears it with margin.
MaxConsecLosses3Same discipline as FTMO — stop a losing sequence early.
E8 tip: Evaluation accounts carry a 40% best-day consistency rule (no single day above 40% of total profit) and the drawdown type is intraday-trailing on Classic/One/Track. TITAN's 2–3 trades/week across 5 pairs spreads profit across many days naturally. Leverage: 1:50 evaluation, 1:30 funded.
⚠ Daily DD Monitoring — Non-Negotiable

All three firms track DD in real time. TITAN has internal stops but you are the last line of defence. Check your prop firm dashboard every morning before London open:

  • Current balance vs starting balance — ensure you are inside your overall DD limit
  • Today's low equity vs today's opening balance — ensure you are inside daily DD limit
  • Journal tab in MT5 — confirm all 5 TITAN EAs logged their initialization messages today
  • VPS uptime — check your VPS is online before market opens

If you are within 1% of any DD limit — pause all EAs manually. One unexpected spike can end a challenge in minutes. Capital preservation always beats profit chasing.
